# Intel:registered: Data Center Platform Overlay for Linux* OS

This repository contains references to prototype code for testing hardware feature enablement on Intel’s upcoming next generation Xeon server code named Eagle Stream / Sapphire Rapids. This code is to be used as reference. For support and certification use your own distribution vendors.

Note: The code base includes enablement for Sapphire Rapids features except Quick Assist Technology, Ethernet drivers, Volume Management Device (VMD) & 
Intel® Virtual RAID on CPU (VROC).

## End of Life Notice
As the Intel:registered: Data Center Platform Overlay for Linux* OS project has fulfilled its intended purpose, all future updates are being stopped. As part of this process, binary rpms have been removed and sources won’t be updated further. This repository and the resources referred in it will reach their end of life and be archived at the end of November 2022.

According to the former statement, the previously published repository at 01.org will appear empty, except for source rpms. The Linux kernel and QEMU source repositories listed below can be reached normally until the project’s EOL. However, when building from the sources, please take into consideration that there’s no active development to backport CVE fixes into them.
